Grey Goat plays with the idea of an unfinished frame wrestling with a busy background. It is the third painting in a series of 10 entitled Now-Batik. Inspired by Indonesian Batik, this series is primarily interested in the concept of energy from a spiritual and scientific perspective. What constitutes energy? What is the universe made up of? And if visualized, what would that look like?
