Scripts V comprises strokes of mature, elegant colours that glide through the canvas in front of a sea of green. This is the fifth painting in a series of 15 entitled ‘Scripts,’ inspired by a quantum explanation of the universe known as string theory. Each painting also finds inspiration in the calligraphic art forms prominent throughout the Middle East. Viewers are often able to recognise script patterns in the forms of the various brushstrokes.
