Aumaaz is the first painting in a series of 7 entitled Now-Shipibo. Inspired by the shamanic tradition of Shipibo weaving in the Peruvian Amazon, this series is primarily interested in the idea of music as energy and vibration. My aim is to create a synesthetic experience where light, sound and sight come together to create a multi-sensory experience for the participant. Fluorescent paint used during the creation of this painting glows when seen under UV light, adding to the magical quality of this artwork.

The painting has been created using the highest-quality archival acrylic paint on an un-stretched canvas fabric. It is intended to be hung un-stretched on a wall using clips. The UV light is not included with the artwork and must be purchased separately (easily available on Amazon).
